Sterling City Elementary 5th Grade

4th and 5th grade brought in 3 guest readers today for Read Across America Day! Our morning started with Mrs. Martha who read a book to our class in Spanish which was a treat within itself! She is such a special gem here at Sterling City ISD. Pastor Derrick followed with 2 adventures with dragons and a mouse in space! We ended our day with Mrs. G. Let me tell you this woman was so honored and excited to be back in the classroom with students! She read to our class and even came up with a Read Across America Day style game of ships and sailors! Mrs. G has worn many hats in her 27 years at SCISD! Overall our kids had a great day celebrating the love of reading in 2 languages!

Homecoming 5th grade tradition continues!

Reminder for next week:

Students need a bicycle for the parade! They will ride from the school, through the parade, and back. If your child does not have one, see if you can borrow one from someone. No electric ride on scooters, hover boards, etc.
Bikes need to be dropped off at the school Friday morning!
