These incredible Utica Community Schools educators applied for grants to support learning opportunities that benefit students beyond standard curriculum. 💙🎉 Big congratulations to our incredible school social worker, Jenna Palmer for being awarded the Chelsie Bemis Grant through the UCS Foundation for Educational Excellence!

This grant is designed to support innovative ideas that go above and beyond for students. Miss Palmer's proposal focused on providing social-emotional resources to better support our Beck Vikings, ensuring our students continue to grow not only academically, but emotionally as well.

The Chelsie Bemis Teacher Grant Program recognizes projects that demonstrate strong goals, meaningful student impact, thoughtful use of funds, and innovation. Miss Palmer’s work truly embodies all of these qualities!

Because of her dedication and passion, our students will benefit from additional tools and supports that help them feel safe, understood, and ready to learn each and every day.

Each year, multiple students receive scholarships to help continue their education at a trade school, community college, or university. If you are a UCS student planning your next step, start preparing now. Watch UCS social media and your incoming email for Superintendent Scholarship applications, which typically open in March.
