Today, Intro to Ag students began learning about the FFA Creed, and what better way to learn than from Sterling FFA’s past Creed contest speakers!

Last night, 11 first-year FFA members attended Black Hawk’s Greenhand Conference!

At this event, members socialized with other first-years, learned about their opportunities in FFA, and developed leadership skills.

What a great night! 💙💛

Our first FFA chapter meeting of the school year was a success! New and returning FFA members came together to learn about all the opportunities in FFA this year, meet new members and officers, and enjoy some ice cream! 💙💛

☀️🍉FFA Summer Recap!!! ⛱️🕶️

Over the last month our FFA members have stayed busy with some exciting events!
⛳️ We had three members volunteer at the Birkeys golf scramble at the Prophet hills golf course, at the event members talked to the golfers while fundraising for the chapter.
🥑 Later we had member, Juliet Funderberg, compete in the section two vocational ag fair! Where she showed poultry, vegetables and a horticulture arrangement. As well as another member volunteering at the event.
🧑‍🌾 To kick everything off we had several members help out at the WCFB Farm Camp! Members spent 4 days teaching kids about agriculture through fun games and activities!

State Convention RECAP!!🎉☀️

This past week Sterling’s FFA chapter had a fun and exciting time at the 98th Annual Illinois FFA State Convention! Our chapter kept busy with lots ranging from competing and awards! What a way to end the year!

🏅Our Greenhand Quiz Bowl team competed throughout the convention but fell short after a hard fought round.

🥈Our chapter also received silver in NCA chapter rewards.

🥈Toni Martinez ranked silver in chapter reporter awards!

June Chapter Meeting!⛱️☀️

The Sterling FFA chapter recently had their June chapter meeting where members fished, played badminton, and had fun! This was another successful meeting for our chapter!
