Maker Monday: A group of kids got to test-drive the sublimation markers at Rust Library Makerspace the other day! They drew their own designs, printed them out with the sublimation printer, and used a special heat press to apply them to mugs. Know anyone you'd like to make gifts for? Maker Monday: A patron of the Gum Spring Library Makerspace has been using 3D design software (such as Tinkercad) to print these cookie cutters. He then passes them to his daughter to use with clay, which she turns into earrings. Talk about a multi-step collaboration! As part of Brambleton Makerspace's five-day skills camp, 21 patrons of various ages showed up to learn Intro to Embroidery. Check out this complex design (with over a dozen thread changes!) that one of our young patrons, Addison, completed. She then drew a rendition of her design for staff. Addison's mom wrote, "We came to the makerspace and had so much fun learning how to use the embroidery machine!"
