We are a Volunteer Fire Department protecting the Spencer and West Sterlington area of Union Parish. We run all Fire, Rescue, and EMS calls in our district as well as work with the Rocky Branch/Crossroads Fire Dept.

Due to ongoing fire weather conditions, a parish-wide burn ban will go into effect at 7:00 AM on 3/20/26.

Current conditions include critically dry fuels, low humidity, and gusty winds, all of which create an environment where fires can start easily and spread rapidly. These conditions are expected to persist, with hot and dry weather continuing and no meaningful rainfall in the immediate forecast.

Please see the details of the official burn ban order in the attached image for specific restrictions and allowed activities.
