* We believe in a society that puts the health, safety, and prosperity of its citizens first, one that promotes excellence in education, choices in quality health care and a healthy environment for all Ohio citizens.
* We believe in a society that values community and protects all Ohio citizens from violence and crime.
* We believe in a society that respects our elders, who deserve the right to retire with the resources they need and have earned to support themselves in their golden years.
* And we believe in pursuing these ideals with honesty and integrity, with respect for the freedoms that we in Ohio are proud to call our own.

So here’s the truth about Linda Caudill, the woman Vivek asked to lie about her dying mother in his latest dishonest attack ad against Dr. Amy Acton. Did they really think no one would check the facts? Public records made the truth pretty easy to find.

The woman blaming Amy Acton for her mother’s death has spent a decade in Republican politics — chairing Donald Trump’s Hamilton County campaign, organizing conservative activists and winning a seat on the Ohio GOP’s State Central Committee.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story"

If Vivek and his out-of-state billionaire donors can’t tell the truth about the death of an elderly woman, then they can’t be trusted with anything they say.

An Ohio GOP activist blames Amy Acton in a political ad for her dying mother's isolation during COVID. Records show the mother was in Kentucky.

Sherrod Brown has the support of seniors, veterans and working people from the Ohio Valley because we know he will fight to protect those who need it most. Jon Husted has proven by his voting record that he will do the exact opposite. The choice is clear. Sherrod Brown deserves your vote on November 3rd.

Statement about the Supreme Court ruling on mail-in ballots from JCDP Chairman Eddie Abdalla

Ohio voters should know exactly where things stand after the recent Supreme Court ruling on mail-in ballots. Secretary of State Frank LaRose will be sending Ohio voters an application to vote by mail. If you want to vote by mail and have not already submitted a request, you can use that application and return it to your county Board of Elections as soon as possible. If you have already requested a mail-in ballot, your ballot is scheduled to be mailed beginning October 6 which is the first day of early voting and it continues thru Sunday, Nov 1.

Most importantly, don’t let the Supreme Court ruling create confusion or discourage you from voting. If you prefer to vote by mail, request your ballot early and follow the instructions carefully. If you would rather vote early and in person, make a plan to do that. And, of course, you can always vote in person on Election Day.

The bottom line is simple: Ohioans still have the right to vote by mail, and no court ruling should discourage anyone from exercising their right to vote. Make a plan, vote early if you can and make sure your voice is heard.
