The day it snowed I posted that I could take in some homeless people.
I have room in my dry, warm basement for up to 6 people.
A friend brought over 2 cots, I need 4 more.
I can keep them warm at least and a friend has offered a kettle of soup.
I can provide hot coffee, cocoa, soups, stews, etc.
Washer/dryer/showers included.
IF anyone knows of someone out in the cold, send them my way.

We are facing a homeless crisis with the shelters closing down in town.
November 1st and winter and the holidays are fast approaching.
This is near and dear to my heart.

This is my ministry group. I am making hats and scarfs to hand out to the girls on the streets. The s*x trade industry is big business and these girls face all kinds of danger. From their pimps beating them and selling them to other pimps to standing out in all kinds of weather to turn a trick.
I want to give these girls a glimmer of hope by passing out warm hats and scarfs along with information about where to go for help. I will include a Bible track, some phone numbers and other “safe” information. Some of these girls are still just kids-13 and up.
Anyone wishing to help may DONATE yarn, crocheted/knitted hats, scarfs, mittens, gloves, anything to help keep these girls warm.
This is a NON-PROFIT ministry for the time being. I am NOT a 501c3. All donations go towards making the hats and scarfs to pass out to the girls on the streets. ANY donations ARE NOT tax deductable. Also baggies, gallon size for the hats/scarfs and sandwich size for the “track packs” would be greatly appreciated. You give and donate out of your heart to help fellow human beings.
I eventually plan to extend my ministry to include other crocheted items that the girls might need, wash cloths, vests, also handmade soaps, lotions, etc.

May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit+ People. The disappearances and murders of Indigenous people is often directly connected to domestic and s*xual violence or trafficking, which is a direct threat to tribal sovereignty and compromises the ability to heal from historic trauma. Enough is enough.
