The state has reported continued issues with using WIC cards at Walmart.
If possible, please use another approved vendor in your area. (Kroger & Riesbeck in Jefferson County)
We will keep you informed as soon as we receive updates from the state.

UPDATE: Wal-Mart states the issue that caused WIC transactions not being completed has been resolved and transactions should again be working as expected. Participants can re-attempt to shop if desired for items not redeemed due to the technical issue.

Any new issues when attempting to redeem benefits at Wal-Mart after Noon on 4/6/26 should be submitted throughWIC Shopper App.

We have received reports that WIC card is not working at WalMart.
If you are having trouble please use the "I Could Not Buy This Button" on your WIC Shopper App to report this.
Please be advised that when calling the clinic you may have to leave and message and call back time will be delayed as only one staff member is present today and tomorrow.

Job Summary: The WIC Clerk provides essential administrative and clerical support for the WIC program. This role is responsible for the daily operation of the WIC office, including client intake, scheduling appointments, determining eligibility, issuing food benefits, and maintaining records.
