We want to take a moment to thank Jefferson County Clerk of Courts Andrew Plesich for his support of the Jefferson County Young Republicans.

Since 2021 Mr. Plesich has fought to reform the Clerk of Courts office in order to modernize it and ensure our tax dollars are being used efficiently and effectively. He has been a principled Republican fighter in Jefferson County and we thank him for his service in pushing a fiscally conservative agenda, and making Eastern Ohio an examplar of small yet effective government.

Great turnout this week as the Jefferson County Young Republicans hosted a candidate luncheon for Ohio House District 96 at the Brilliant Fire Department. We were honored to welcome former State Senator Frank Hoagland and sitting State Representative Ron Ferguson to speak with concerned citizens face to face.

We also want to recognize the many Young Republicans and volunteers who helped organize, set up, and make this event run smoothly. Especially the help Aiden Ferguson, Chase Hervey, Cole Pearce, Francis Langley, and others who allowed for this event to even be possible. Just some more of Jefferson County's young people stepping up and proving they can lead and do great things.

A special thanks to the Brilliant Fire Department and Chief Harvey for hosting us in their fire hall and for their help coordinating the event. Community partners like them make it possible for organizations like ours to bring people together for meaningful conversations about the future of our county and state.
