UW-Stevens Point Upward Bound

UW-Stevens Point Upward Bound Upward Bound @ UW-Stevens Point is a pre-college federally funded TRIO Program that serves high school students from Central and Northcentral Wisconsin.

The Upward Bound Program has been hosted at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for over 50 years. It is part of the Federal TRIO Programs funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Participants at UW-Stevens Point are recruited from ten target high schools in seven counties from Central and Northern Wisconsin. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete

secondary education (high school) and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education (colleges/universities).

It's been a whirlwind summer for Upward Bound! We were busy with our summer programs and now that the staff has caught their breath a little, here are some photos from our 2-week Freshman Focus session as well as a link to the slide show (put together by our Yearbook class students) for our 4-week 10th - 12th grade session.
