Sometimes, one opportunity is all it takes to change a life. ๐Ÿ’™

One participant in CAP Servicesโ€™ Skills Enhancement Program went from working as an Emergency Room Technician earning $๐Ÿญ๐Ÿณ.๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฏ an hour to becoming an ER nurse earning $๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฑ.๐Ÿต๐Ÿฌ an hour after completing an associate degree in nursing.

Thatโ€™s an annual income increase of approximately $๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฐ,๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌโ€”and a new career with employer-sponsored benefits.

Since 1991, Skills Enhancement has helped more than ๐Ÿญ,๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜€ ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ, resulting in nearly $๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ for participants and their families.

For 60 years, CAP Services has helped create opportunities like thisโ€”and weโ€™re looking ahead to the next 60.

๐ŸŽ“ Welcome Pointers! ๐Ÿพ

CAPโ€™s Family Crisis Center was excited to be part of UW-Stevens Pointโ€™s orientation, connecting with students and sharing information and resources that support healthy, respectful relationships. ๐Ÿ’™

Our team also joined more than 1,600 UWSP students for an evening featuring Mike Domitrz, Founder & Executive Director of The Center for Respect and author of "Can I Kiss You?"

The response was inspiring:
โœจ 98% said they are more likely to ask first.
โœจ 98% said they are more likely to intervene for others.

Weโ€™re grateful for the opportunity to connect with UWSP students, share resources, and help build safer, healthier communities. ๐Ÿ’™

Welcome to campus Pointers! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿพ

CAP Services was proud to participate in the 3rd annual Be Well Waupaca County Resource Fair on August 8, joining more than 30 organizations to connect individuals and families with local resources and services. ๐Ÿ’™

Six CAP programs were represented: Family Crisis Center (FCC), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), Skills Enhancement Program, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Mental Health Navigation (MHN), and Community Resource Team (CRT). ECD also hosted a Kids Zone with fun activities for children and families.

The event reached more than 60 households, representing over 160 household members, and offered valuable resources and free services, including haircuts and family portraits.

Weโ€™re grateful for opportunities to connect with families, increase awareness of available resources and strengthen our community! ๐Ÿ’™
