🍂 September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month in Wisconsin!

Falls can have a major impact on the health, independence, and quality of life of older adults - but falls are not an inevitable part of aging.

This month, we join organizations across Wisconsin in raising awareness about fall prevention and the steps we can all take to create safer, more accessible homes and communities.

💙 At MILC, empowering people toward independence means helping individuals find the resources, tools, and support they need to live safely and confidently in their communities.

We’re proud to recognize Falls Prevention Awareness Month and help spread the word that prevention matters!

📍 MILC Is Moving!

Something new is on the way!

MILC will soon be moving into our new office location, and our team is busy preparing for the transition.

Stevens Point, WI 54482

📅 Opening to the Public October 5!

Beginning Monday, October 5, our new office will be open to the public during the following hours:

🕣 Monday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
🕣 Friday: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

While our office will close to the public at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays, MILC staff will remain available by phone and email until 4:30 p.m.

We are excited about this next chapter and look forward to welcoming our consumers, families, partners, and community members into our new space!

Our RCC crew has been out and about enjoying some fun adventures recently!

We took a trip to the beautiful Rudolph Grotto Gardens, where we explored the unique gardens, pathways, and scenery. We also spent some time at the Wisconsin Rapids Zoo, visiting the animals and enjoying a great day outdoors. 🐐🦚

These outings are a wonderful opportunity to get out into the community, try new experiences, spend time together, and make some great memories along the way!
