The Stevens Point Forestry Department replaced the playground chips at Slomann Park and topped off the playground chips at Bukolt Park.
The playground chips provide a cushion when kids fall. We check playground surfaces as part of our playground inspections.

You may have seen the Stevens Point Forestry team edging some of our publicly managed downtown greenspaces. Both our Full-time and seasonal staff worked on this project. We should have taken before and after pictures!!

The Plover River Crossing trail will be temporarily closed on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 11 to allow the contractor to complete finish work on the boardwalk. Barricades will be present on each of the boardwalk while the closure is taking place and we anticipate the trail to be open by 5:00pm. Please call the Parks and Recreation office at 715-346-1531 with any questions.
