What if our roads could protect wildlife instead of endangering it?
Join us on Wednesday, June 10, at 6:30 p.m. for Wildlife Corridors and Conservation Connectivity in Pennsylvania, a public program featuring PA State Rep. Mary Jo Daley in the auditorium at Middle Creek Visitors Center in Stevens.
Did you know — Pennsylvania has one of the largest highway systems in the country and unfortunately, ranks second in wildlife-vehicle collisions.
In June’s Speaker Series event, we’ll explore the role of wildlife corridors and highlight recent legislation that initiated a study of existing corridors, aimed at improving safety for both motorists and animals.
This is an opportunity to learn more about how transportation infrastructure and wildlife movement intersect, and to hear directly from a policymaker involved in the issue.
This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
