Over 900 meals served!!
Thank you for your continued support AND a big THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who make these events possible!!

Did you ever wonder why fundraising is necessary to the volunteer fire service? As we approach our Spring Ox Roast this Saturday May 16th. we thought it appropriate to share a few reasons why it is so important to us. This year we are updating our SCBA to meet NFPA standards. Your D.M.T.A Volunteers need these units to enter burning structures to extinguish fires and remove victims from life threatening environments! We are currently awaiting delivery of 12 new air packs. Additionally, we are also replacing 15 new portable radios this year in order to maintain compatibility with County Radio. The firefighters need these new radios to maintain contact with crews operating within a burning structure. This represents a sizable expenditure to any Volunteer Fire Company and we are no exception! We have been serving our residents for over 75 years and look forward to serving you long into the future! See you Saturday! Doors open at 11: 00 am for pick up. Thank you for your continued support!

This evening the D.M.T.A volunteers attended an Autism Awareness for the First Responder seminar hosted by the Middle Creek Search and Rescue team. Did you know that 1 in 31 children are diagnosed with Autism? Additionally, 1 in 45 Adults are autistic! This evening we were instructed on how to recognize and deal with autistic people that may require our services. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn ways to better serve our community!
