UPDATED: Progress on the picnic pavilion at Rock Creek Park. The new roof is a part of some grant funded upgrades happening at the fairgrounds this Spring.

The roof is finished. It looks great and will provide years of use to come.

With the contractors on-site, there have been updates and timeline adjustments as listed below. We plan to work closely with the contractors and Western Federal Lands throughout the upcoming months to keep the public informed as new updates become available. The information we provide will be the latest information we have and will be subject to change as the project progresses.

• This week, the Contractor began mobilization.
• May 9, 2026: Northbound traffic detour is scheduled to begin.
• July 1, 2026: MSE backfill completion scheduled; the northbound detour may be required through August, and potentially longer.
