Thank you, Nassau County Legislator John Giuffre! 🚑🚒

Thanks to his support, the SMFD has been awarded two grants:
✅ The first provides funding for a Stryker power lift stretcher for our ambulance — greatly enhancing the safety of both our patients and our members
✅ The second provides funding toward a new rescue truck to replace Rescue 193 and its equipment, which are more than 25 years old

We’re grateful for the continued support in keeping Stewart Manor residents protected with modern equipment.

We will always remember all those who lost their lives 25 years ago today on September 11th, 2001 and all those we have lost as a result of 9/11 related illness. God bless the 343 firefighters, 23 police officers, 37 port authority police officers, and 8 EMS workers who made the ultimate sacrifice while saving others.

4 DAYS AWAY - HAPPENING RAIN OR SHINE

The Stewart Manor Fire Department is excited to be hosting our 27th annual 4th of July Parade and BBQ on Saturday, July 4th, 2026 at 10:30AM. Join us in the municipal parking lot on the corner of Covert Ave and Chester Ave after the parade for food, t-shirts, cash and prize raffles, and entertainment!

IMPORTANT: Covert Ave is a dry zone - no balloons or water of any kind is permitted.

ROUTE:
Parade start - corner of Covert Ave and Salisbury Ave, continue east on Salisbury to Dover Pkwy, south on Dover Pkwy to Cambridge Ave, west on Cambridge Ave to Tulip Ave, west on Tulip ave to Covert Ave, north on Covert Ave, parade to finish in front of the Stewart Manor fire house.

All attendees are reminded to conduct themselves in a safe and respectful manner.

We look forward to celebrating July 4th and commemorating America’s 250th anniversary together as a community!
