🥕🍎 FRESH FROM THE FARM: NUTRITION MATTERS! 🌽🥦

August and September are the perfect months to visit your local farmer’s market and enjoy an abundance of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables! 🍅🍓🥬

When produce is fresh and in season, it can offer important vitamins and minerals that support a healthy diet. And for those going through cancer treatment, good nutrition can be an especially valuable part of the journey.

Eating well during and after treatment may help you manage certain side effects, maintain strength, and feel your best. Plus, when food travels a shorter distance from the field to your table, it often tastes even better!

The best part? Nutrition is something you can have a say in. Small, healthy choices can make a difference.

Not sure where to start or what foods may be best for you? Ask your healthcare team about a referral to a registered dietitian who can help you create a nutrition plan tailored to your needs.

Take a stroll through your local farmer’s market, fill your basket with something fresh, and nourish yourself from the inside out!

What a beautiful day on the course! ☀️

A huge THANK YOU to the 130 golfers who joined us Saturday, August 22nd, for our 18th Annual Take a Swing at Cancer Classic Golf Tournament at Hickory Heights Golf Club!

The rain held out, the sun came shining through, and the day turned into a beautiful August day filled with friendship, laughter, competition, and most importantly H.O.P.E. 💙

While we didn't see that lucky hole-in-one on the 17th hole this year, we certainly saw something even better: our largest turn out ever - 130 golfers, and incredible sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and a community coming together to support cancer patients and families. And THAT is a winning day in our book! ⛳️

Every golfer who participated, every sponsor who invested in our mission, every volunteer who gave their time, and everyone who helped make this tournament possible played a part in helping H.O.P.E. continue to provide hands-on support to cancer patients and families.

Calling all our outdoors lovers, woodsmen, farmers, hunters, loggers, equipment operators, firewood enthusiasts, and anyone who simply loves being part of a great community effort! 🌲🪓🚜

Last year, YOU helped us split an incredible 93 FULL CORDS of firewood.

This year, we're going BIGGER...

🎯 OUR GOAL: 100 FULL CORDS IN 2026!

And we need YOU to help us get there!

Whether you can bring a piece of equipment, lend a hand for an hour, spend the day with us, donate supplies, help move wood, or simply show up ready to work, we want you there! No experience is required. Safety, teamwork, and a willingness to help are what matter most. ❤️

We're excited to begin planning our H.O.P.E. "VolunTOUR" Open House this fall! A special opportunity to tour the H.O.P.E. Haven, learn about our mission, discover volunteer opportunities, and see firsthand how compassionate hearts make a difference in the lives of cancer families.
