LAKE JOHN WELLS OPEN!!!

Testing is over, and the what’s up doc racing team had a successful test weekend because all the coordinators with fire departments and rescue boat’s guaranteeing everyone’s safety.

What’s up doc racing team hosted a bbq dinner for our local firefighters and rescue boats, Stigler Chamber of commerce and District 5 Choctaw Representative Jennifer Turner. Braxton Miller (well known for his many accomplishments in the boat racing community) is a Choctaw member and they became buddies instantly! It was a good moment to witness in Choctaw County! Thank you John Ruff for making it such an enjoyable evening at our beautiful lake John Wells!

The fire department has been looking at the new hiking trails system and discussing emergency planning and fire safety. We want the trails to meet standards that follow fire safety guidelines, so our community feels safe when they are using the hiking trails.

Just a heads up for this weekend! There will be some race boat testing this weekend! If your curious why, the championship race will be held in Stigler July 10, 11 & 12th! We are looking forward to that!

On another note, the hiking trail will be available by the beach, if any updates come up on completion of the next one it will be shared here!
