This wonderful weekly event is sponsored by the United Way of Washington County - East. Bring the family or invite a neighbor, and enjoy a night off from cooking!

The "What It Looks Like" Myth. Myth vs. Reality: What does housing insecurity actually look like?

When we think about housing insecurity, many of us picture someone sleeping on a street corner. But the reality in our community is often much quieter. It looks like a family couch-surfing between friends' apartments, a student studying by the dashboard light of their car, or a hard-working neighbor balancing on a razor-thin line between a roof over their head and a crisis.

At The Connect Center, we’re here to open doors and connect our neighbors with the support they need to feel secure. Everyone deserves a safe, reliable place to call home.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to the Afton Bayport Lakeland - ABL Lions Club for their incredible support during the Bayport Community Action League ice cream social!

While everyone was enjoying some delicious summer treats, the Lions were hard at work collecting essential personal hygiene products. Because of their dedication and the amazing generosity of everyone who dropped off donations, we can continue keeping our shelves stocked for neighbors in need.

We are so grateful to live and work in a community where organizations step up to support one another. Thank you, Lions, for always looking for ways to serve!

Here’s the scoop! 🍦 You get a sweet treat, and our community gets the essentials they need.

Grab your neighbors and head down to Lakeside Park this Wednesday at 6:00 P.M.! It's the perfect evening for free ice cream, great conversation, and celebrating our wonderful community. While you're there catching up and enjoying a scoop, you can easily support the neighborhood by dropping off a quick donation like shampoo or body wash.

Big congratulations and a huge THANK YOU to our incredible interns, Faith and Ashley! 🎓

Not only are they graduating from college this month, but they have also spent the semester pouring their hearts into our after-school program. They have built amazing connections with our students and brought so much joy to TCC.

The absolute best news? They aren't leaving us just yet! Both Faith and Ashley will be continuing on as volunteers with the after-school program this summer.

Help us wish them a huge congratulations on their graduation and thank them for their continued dedication to our youth!
