We can do as little as 5 minutes (7-10 minutes, questions included!) or we can do a more substantive presentation (20-30 minutes) or something in between. Just let us know what serves your needs best!

We're especially interested in OKC, Tulsa, and Stillwater area opportunities, but we'd be glad to look into visiting you elsewhere too -- remember we have great online programming in addition to these in-person hubs!

We are so excited to offer this class in Oklahoma City taught by Dr. Autumn Brown on the pivotal work of Clara Luper, her students, and the wider freedom struggle they were part of. Join us!

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at OSU will host Dr. Autumn Brown's course, "From Sit-Ins to Statehood: Clara Luper and the Fight for Civil Rights in Oklahoma City." The course will center on the life and activism of Clara Luper, a pivotal leader in Oklahoma City's Civil Rights Movement.

Students will examine Luper's work alongside a broader historical framework that contextualizes Oklahoma's path to statehood, including the displacement of Indigenous nations and the systemic oppression of Black communities prior to the Civil Rights era.

By tracing the evolution of segregation, racial violence and resistance in Oklahoma, the course will highlight how local activism intersected with national movements for justice.

The course will be every Tuesday, Sept. 22 through Oct. 13 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The course will be taught in Oklahoma City.

New at OLLI this fall, we are offering Osher Online courses! These exclusive to the Osher network 6-week courses explore an incredible range of topics. This fall we have 24 courses in this format from experts across the country. And never fear -- OKC, Stillwater and Tulsa all still have lots of amazing in-person programming, and our in-house online offerings are excellent too! We have a new and improved enrollment system!

Whether or not you had a membership last year, you'll reach our enrollment system by going to our homepage at the website (OLLI.okstate.edu) then clicking "Join OLLI and/or Enroll in Classes."

If you had a membership at any point last year, we've sent you an email (from [email protected]) that provides details on how to reset your password. Everyone will need to reset their password since it is a new system; instructions were in your email (we're happy to resend or support you in any way as you get used to the new system).

If you did not have a membership last year, you'll need to create a new account. You can do so by going to our website then clicking "Join OLLI and/or Enroll in Classes" then "Sign In." Choose "Create New Account." From there, you can go back home and purchase your membership.

We're excited to share this session with you; there are many amazing instructors, both new and returning!

Summer session brought some great adventures in each of our hub cities (Stillwater, OKC, and Tulsa). We can't wait to share our fall offerings with you (in-person and online)! Enrollment will open August 4.
