It can be hard to find the information and tools you need to launch your research projects and programs. FAST START workshops provide and overview of the many services, support and resources offered at OSU. The Fall 2026 workshop schedule covers topics like Core Research Facilities, Working with the Media, OCRID Core Facilities, Research Poster Design, Grant Proposal, Engaging Undergraduates, Open Education Resources, Zotero Basics and more.

Join OSU Libraries in welcoming New York Times Bestselling Author C.J. Box for another installment of the H. Louise & H.E. "Ed" Cobb Speaker Series. Known for his thriller and neo-Western novels, Box is the executive producer of "Joe Pickett" on Paramount+ and "Big Sky" on ABC, both based on his books.

A Wyoming native and outdoor enthusiast, Box is bringing his cowboy spirit to Oklahoma State University, inviting an engaging conversation about his Western background and traditions.

The special event is on Oct. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center. Attendees will enjoy dinner, a keynote Q&A session and more.

OSU Libraries is hosting another unique unCOILed workshop on the current digital landscape. "One and (Not) Done: Ideas and Strategies for Moving Beyond the One-Shot" will share new approaches librarians are developing to teach digital literacy to students, patrons and faculty.

unCOILed is organized through the Community of Oklahoma Instruction Librarians (COIL), a subgroup organization in the Oklahoma Chapter of Association of College and Research Libraries.

OSU Libraries colleagues Whitney Hilley and Lailah Ramos will present their research and assessment project on study room usage and user preferences for the American Library Association's "Best of Core Forum" series.

Hilley and Ramos' presentation was originally presented at the 2025 Core Forum in November 2025. Their presentation was voted on by attendees to earn a "Best of Core" recognition, earning a spot to present at "Best of Core Forum."

Now in webinar form, their presentation will teach librarians and professionals across the nation new observations and research methods for study room and patron enhancement.
