As we celebrate 250 years of independence, the Stilwell Police Department would like to remind everyone of the City of Stilwell’s fireworks ordinance.

Fireworks may only be discharged within the City of Stilwell during the following times:

🇺🇸 June 25 – July 5
🕗 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily

🎇 July 4 ONLY
🕗 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

🎉 New Year’s
December 31: 11:00 p.m. – January 1: 12:30 a.m.

Outside of these approved dates and times, the discharge of fireworks is prohibited within the corporate limits of the City of Stilwell.

We ask everyone to celebrate responsibly by:
• Supervising children around fireworks.
• Keeping a water hose or fire extinguisher nearby.
• Being considerate of your neighbors, veterans, pets, and those who may be sensitive to loud noises.
• Cleaning up firework debris after your celebration.

The Stilwell Police Department, in conjunction with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, conducted a saturation operation on June 2 2026 and June 3 2026 within the City of Stilwell.

As a result of this collaborative effort, officers made a total of 16 arrests for various offenses including outstanding warrants and seized more than 10 grams of methamphetamine, along with various items of drug paraphernalia associated with the use and distribution of illegal narcotics.

These operations demonstrate our continued commitment to public safety. We would also like to thank our partnering agencies for their assistance and dedication to keeping our communities safe.

🚧 Public Service Announcement – Street Closure Reminder 🚧

The Stilwell Police Department would like to remind all drivers that Second Street is currently CLOSED. Despite posted signage, we are continuing to see vehicles driving around barriers and ignoring “Street Closed” signs.

These closures are in place for your safety and the safety of workers in the area. Driving around barricades creates a serious hazard and may result in citations.

Please:
• Obey all posted road closure signs
• Do not move or drive around barricades
• Use alternate routes as directed

We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our community safe.
