Without hesitation, our Deputies will jump into action. I don’t ask them to; They are just willing. I appreciate what they do and their willingness to serve their community!!!!
Also, I am blessed with some of the best volunteer fire departments in the state. It doesn’t matter when or where it is in the County, when a natural disaster hits, they are 10-8 and headed to help. As a Sheriff, I want them to know I appreciate them and their service to the County.
I also appreciate our County Commissioners and their guys, you rock.
Adair County Citizens brought tractors and other equipment out. We are blessed to live in a giving County.

It’s not often Law Enforcement are in the spotlight for the oath they took. We take serving and protecting to heart and I would like citizens to know what we do.

A few weeks ago I was made aware of a call we got for service. An elderly woman had come home from the hospital and had no food, without hesitation the Deputies took the call and went above and beyond. Believe it or not this is a common occurrence. We respond to many welfare checks throughout the year.

On this particular call one Deputy donated the food, another took it to her. While there they noticed that the lawn is overgrown. A Deputy that was off duty brought his personal lawnmower to her house and cut the lawn.

They did not ask me to highlight their actions, but I believe the public needs to know.

Let’s focus on the good things the Deputies do.

Last winter like many others we spent hours transporting groceries to home bound citizens. Giving rides to home healthcare workers and pulling people out of the ditch.
All year long they stop and assist stranded motorists, change flats, jump dead batteries, pick up road side trash and give rides.

Nearly 50% of what we do is putting up and protecting livestock for farmers in the area.

All in the performance of the oath they took to serve and protect.
I’m proud to be their Sheriff and call them my Deputies. I will defend them until I can’t
