The Town of Stockbridge is declaring a snow emergency from 7:00 pm Sunday through Monday at 7:00 pm. No on street parking will be allowed in order to provide for snow removal. Any vehicles parked on any streets, town wide, will be towed at the owner's expense. Town Hall and the Transfer Station will be closed on Monday.

Hi folks,

It’s going to snow this weekend. Please use caution if you need to go out in the storm.

Additionally it’s going to be very cold. Make sure you use appropriate caution if you are out in the elements and refrain from leaving animals out in the weather for extended periods of time.

A significant, long-duration winter storm will impact eastern New York and western New England Sunday through Monday, bringing widespread heavy accumulations of snow, ranging from 12-18” for most and 18-24” for isolated areas of the Eastern Catskills and Southern Greens. Snowfall rates may exceed one inch per hour at times, especially Sunday afternoon into Sunday night, which will significantly reduce visibility. Additionally, the Monday morning commute will likely be significantly impacted due to snow-covered roads and walkways, leading to hazardous travel conditions, and areas of reduced visibility due to ongoing light snow.

Please be advised the annual winter parking ban begins early Monday morning and continues to the middle of March.

Vehicles parked on a public way in town may be subject to parking tickets or being towed if they impede snow removal.

Race Day Policy Reminder : regarding our best friends: Please leave your dogs safely at home on race day. For safety reasons, dogs will not be permitted at the Stockbridge boat ramp, Camp Mah-Kee-Nac or Tanglewood.

We especially want to thank our partners at the Massachusetts State Police, Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department, Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office, Great Barrington Police Department, Berkshire Mountain Search and Rescue and the Lee Ambulance Department.

The Stockbridge Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are still looking for Brook and Juniper.

We are asking residents of Stockbridge, Weat Stockbridge and Lenox to check any door bell cameras, home security cameras and/or trail/game cameras you may have for any sightings of the pair. They were last seen around 9:00 PM on Tuesday April 22, 2025.

If you find anything please immediately report it to the Stockbridge Police Department at (413) 298-4179.

The Stockbridge Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are asking for the public’s assistance looking for Brook Weingart, a 5’9” white female with browner hair and brown eyes and Juniper Weingart, a 1.5 year old white female with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Brook may be looking for assistance with Transportation or phone calls and may be hitching hiking west.

Today marked the last shift for Officer Tom Rubino who, after 8 years with the Stockbridge Police Department and over 20 total years in policing in South County, retired.

Tom was a constant calm presence around the station and on the street and will be missed greatly.

We wish Tom, and his family, the best in his future endeavors. Kick up your feet Tom, you’ve earned it!
