Heartwarming news for our Stockton Unified School District community!

Thanks to a $5,800 fundraiser organized by patient-inmates at the California Health Care Facility (CHCF) of Stockton, every single student and staff member at Kennedy Elementary School received new school supplies today! In addition to supplies, several students were also gifted new clothing and shoes.

CHCF partnered with Victory In Praise Church to purchase and distribute these items, making sure our Stockton Unified students and teachers were fully equipped and ready to succeed.

As part of adopting Kennedy Elementary this school year, CHCF will also be gifting all of our students Christmas gifts as well.

We are so grateful for this generous partnership and incredible support for our district! 🙏✨

Today marked a major milestone at Weber Institute as the final steel beam was raised for the school’s new gymnasium.

Parents, students, families, and the Weber Community have hoped for this moment and took it to the Superintendent. Today was reality of a dream. Before the beam was lifted into place, Superintendent Dr. Michelle Rodriguez, SUSD Board of Trustees, Principal Zariff, construction crews and Weber community signed it, leaving their mark on a project that will serve generations of students to come.

It’s another step forward as we continue building opportunities for our students, with greater things yet to come.
