Way to go, Eli!

The Phillips-Rooks District was represented at Kansas 4-H Discovery Days on the K-State campus last week by Eli, Brayden, Julia and Kinley who enjoyed meeting new friends from across the state, developing their leadership skills, familiarizing themselves with the campus, and taking hands-on classes on topics of interest, such as Physics, Vet Science, Interior Design and Architecture, Robotics, Cooking and Bowling. Extension Agent, Cindy Walker, serves on the Project Partnership Team that coordinates this event. In addition to helping run the event and chaperoning this crew, she taught two sessions each of The Road to Emerald Circle Banquet and Beyond (a Spark Sessions about record books) and Campus Cook-off (a half day class teaching thrifty cooking skills where groups shop for groceries and prepare a meal in the residence hall kitchen to win the coveted golden forks).
