The Stockton Unified School District Department of Public Safety is one of a handful of specialized K-12 police agencies in California. The Department works 24/7 with a focus on students, staff, schools, and safety/security, and serves more than 40,000 students, faculty, and staff at more than 60 schools in the greater Stockton community. Authorized staffing includes 33 sworn and 11 civilian perso

nnel. The Police Department’s current budget is approximately $6 million. Sworn personnel of the Department are peace officers pursuant to Penal Code 830.32 and Education Code 38000 . The Department has been certified by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training since 1989.

Thank you to our vendors and performers for bringing the fun, energy, and resources that made the night unforgettable for our families.

Thank you to our SUSD PD staff for your hard work behind the scenes and on the ground. Your dedication kept the event running smoothly from start to finish.

Last week, SUSD PD brought campus security teams together at Delta College for 4 days of training to prep for the 2026–2027 school year.

We covered:
SB 390 threat reporting
Trauma-informed de-escalation
Tactical medicine + bus evacuation
Evolv weapon detection at games
Gang/drug awareness, wellness, & more

Shoutout to Handle with Care, CCIC, Tactical Medicine Inc, Evolv, SUSD Mental Health, Transportation, HR, and all our partners for sharing their expertise.
