We are officially just ONE week away from kicking off another year of Story Time at the Stockton Public Library! ❤️

Story Time is open to children birth through preschool, and we have some very special guest readers joining us every week! 📖✨

📚 Tuesday at the Stacks is back! 🎉

We kicked off Year 2 of Tuesday at the Stacks with a fun Show & Tell, followed by some good old-fashioned board games! Our 4th–6th graders also got to put the Tattoo Maker to the test, generously donated by JP and Wendy Shaw. Thank you for helping make our program even more fun!

Next week, we’re building with LEGOs! 🧱

We’d love to have local community organizations and businesses come build with us! If your organization or business would like to join us for a Tuesday at the Stacks lego or board game day, please reach out to Sierra at the library.

We can’t wait to see what our builders create!

📚 Unearthing Stockton History

On Saturday, the Rooks County Historical Society Museum and Stockton Public Library teamed up to unearth Stockton’s history—and what a great morning it was!

We welcomed a wonderful group of people from across Kansas and Nebraska who came together to share stories, memories, and pieces of Stockton’s past. The conversations reminded us just how many stories are waiting to be remembered and shared.

And we’re not done yet! Our next history gathering will be in November, and we want YOU to be part of it. Whether you’ve lived in Stockton your whole life, recently moved here, or have a family connection to the area, there’s a story to tell.

We can’t wait to welcome all of our Tuesday at the Stacks kids back to the library! We had so much fun together last year, and we’re excited for another year filled with snacks, activities, learning, laughter, and lots of library fun!

The Stockton Public Library Board would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Clare for her 3 years of service on the Library Board. We truly appreciate the time, dedication, and support she has given to our library and community!

With an opening now available on the Library Board, we would like to invite anyone who lives within Stockton city limits and is interested in serving our community to apply.

📅 Board Meetings: 2nd Monday of each month
⏰ Time: 5:00 PM
Additional meetings are held as needed.
