the citizens of the area.

The Town of Stokesdale is located in the northwest corner of Guilford County, is
a rural community with a mixture of agricultural and farming areas, businesses,
industries, and residential areas. Several industries are also located within the Town. The 21.4 square miles included in the incorporated area of the Town is intersected
by three major highways, US Highway 158, NC Highway 68, and NC H

ighway 65. Part of the Town borders a fourth major highway, US Highway 220. With this
network of roads, Stokesdale citizens are within a short drive of the larger cities of
Greensboro, High Point, Winston Salem, or Reidsville.

FREE Bulk Item Drop Off Event for Stokesdale Residents

September 14–17, 2026 | Stokesdale Town Hall Parking Lot

The Town of Stokesdale is pleased to partner with GFL Environmental to offer a free bulk item drop off event for Town of Stokesdale residents.

Dates:
Monday, September 14, 2026 – Thursday, September 17, 2026

Location:
Stokesdale Town Hall Parking Lot
8325 Angel Pardue Road, Stokesdale, NC 27357

Event Details:
GFL Environmental will place large dumpsters in the Stokesdale Town Hall parking lot for residents to use during the event. All residents are responsible for placing their items directly into the dumpsters. Leaving items on the ground is strictly prohibited.

Unacceptable Items Include:
• Hazardous Waste
• Asbestos
• Medical Waste
• Batteries
• Motor Oil
• Paint and Volatile Chemicals
• Tires
• Dead Animals
• Household Appliances
• Electronics (TVs, Computers, Microwaves, Radios, etc.)

Important Notes:
• This event is for Town of Stokesdale residents only.
• Dumpsters will be monitored by 24/7 surveillance cameras.
• Do not leave any items on the ground.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Stokesdale Town Council will hold a Legislative Public Hearing during their regular meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Stokesdale Town Hall Council Chambers (8325 Angel-Pardue Road, Stokesdale, NC).

The public hearing is for Conditional Rezoning Case #26-07-PLBD-00025, a request to conditionally rezone the property located at 8318 Loyola Drive.

Members of the public are invited to attend. Those wishing to provide public comment must attend the hearing in person.
