Stone Harbor Fireworks Celebration – Save the New Date!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We’re excited to once again come together with family and friends to celebrate our nation’s 250th Anniversary—and we thank you for your continued support of Stone Harbor’s annual Independence Day fireworks tradition!
New Date: Friday, July 3rd
Location: 81st Street Beach
Fireworks: Approximately 9:15 PM
The evening will kick off with a live band concert on the Recreation Field, followed by a spectacular barge fireworks display off 81st Street Beach. We have an exciting show planned and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
For 36 years, the Stone Harbor Volunteer Fire Company has proudly hosted this event, made possible through the generosity of our community. While our annual hoagie sale (Saturday, June 27th at 8:00 AM until sold out) helps offset some costs, the total expense of the fireworks now exceeds $30,000.
Your support is essential to keeping this tradition alive.
If you’re able, please consider making a donation.
Checks can be made payable to Stone Harbor Volunteer Fire Company (please include “fireworks” in the memo).
Any funds raised beyond the cost of the display will go toward much-needed firefighting equipment.
Thank you again for your continued support—we hope to see you there for a great night celebrating our country and community! 🇺🇸

This is a message from the Stone Harbor Office of Emergency Management. A major blizzard will affect Stone Harbor Sunday night and Monday. Heavy snow, high winds, and coastal flooding is expected. Please move your vehicles to higher ground. Vehicles can park in the borough parking lots at the water tower and 94th and Second Avenue. Please keep the main avenues clear of vehicles so that the snow plows can keep the roads open for emergency vehicles. Stay tuned to the weather service for updates.
