I’m grateful for the opportunity to spend two days with my fellow DeKalb County Board of Education members learning, reflecting, and having meaningful conversations about the work ahead.

For me, this work is always bigger than a meeting or a title. It is about our scholars, our employees, our families, and making sure the decisions we make move DeKalb in the right direction.

Forward Together. For Results.

Champion Theme Middle School is truly one of a kind. As DeKalb County School District’s only middle school theme school, Champion serves scholars from communities across DeKalb. It was great to see the transformation of the campus following major renovations and, more importantly, to see scholars learning in a space designed to support their success.

Thank you to Dr. Rivers and the entire Champion team for welcoming me and sharing what makes the Charger community special.
