I would like to extend a warm welcome and congratulations to Dominiqua Way on her enlistment in the United States Army!

Dominiqua has chosen to serve as a 25H Network Communication Systems Specialist, a critical role responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting tactical and commercial communication networks, fiber optic systems, and high-speed data networks that keep our forces connected and mission-ready.

As a squad leader in Germany, I was looking for ways to help Soldiers feel a stronger sense of family and belonging. An idea I had was to host an annual holiday gift exchange and dinner for the Soldiers. The inspiration actually came from my family in Mississippi. It was a tradition we looked forward to every year growing up.

My hope was that it gave at least a small piece of home to those who were spending the holidays thousands of miles away from their families. Looking back, I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of your lives and serve next to some amazing people!

The Army… where development happens!

I got the oppurtunity to part of Exercise Resolute Castle 24, a U.S. Army Europe and Africa led, multinational engineering and construction mission in North Macedonia. 🇲🇰 The primary goal was to improve military infrastructure and strengthen bonds between allied nations in Eastern Europe.

As a 12N (Horizontal Construction Engineer), and the most senior Non-Commissioned Officer in my platoon, I was entrusted with significant responsibility and leadership expectations. The experience was incredibly rewarding and played a major role in my growth as a leader. Overall the mission was a massive success, and the best part was the opportunity to serve alongside an outstanding group of people. The friendships, memories, and experiences we shared will stay with me for a lifetime!
