If you’re an emergency responder and still need your Hazardous Materials Awareness certification, look no further!

The Tower Hill Fire Protection District will be hosting a Hazardous Materials Awareness class on the dates listed below.

This course is a great opportunity to meet training requirements, sharpen your knowledge, and better prepare yourself to respond safely to hazardous materials incidents.

We hope to see firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement, and other emergency responders join us for this excellent training opportunity.

There is another round of storms coming from the northwest around 630-700 .

The area circled in red is what we are going to see in our area at approximately 3 o'clock

[1:20 PM Wednesday] - Conditions are becoming increasingly favorable for additional severe storms this afternoon and evening. A new tornado watch will be needed. Strong tornadoes, hail larger than 2", and wind gusts of 60-80 mph are all possible.

Big thank you to the Stonington firemen for helping purchase the glow sticks we handed out to the kiddos right before the fireworks! Also for letting us use one of the firetrucks for sand volleyball!!

11:36a - The Moderate Risk has been pulled slightly south some and essentially is for our entire area.

General consensus among our team is I-72 and points to the south could stand the beat chance for tornadoes this afternoon, thanks to the morning round being less severe and more of a rainy mess locally.

However, ALL areas of our WCIA viewing area should remain vigilant due to thez threat this afternoon/evening.

There are no changes structurally to our forecast with round 2, rather now we begin to look at the fine and minuscule details
