We’d love to see you in the Borough! ⭐️ Join the Stonington Democrats for a Wine Tasting with Local Democrats & Friends on Thursday, June 18, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Cove Ledge.

It will be a relaxed evening in the courtyard with wine, light bites, and good conversation. A non-alcoholic option will also be available. Come catch up with neighbors, meet candidates, and help support the local work that makes November wins possible.

Suggested donation is $45, with Young Democrats at $20 and Supporters at $125. No one will be turned away for an inability to contribute - we'd just love to see you there!

I can hardly contain my excitement, because it's almost Pride in the Park time! So SAVE THE DATE! Mark your calendars! Do whatever you do so you don't forget, because every year is somehow better than the last! And you know this one is gonna be no exception, because Stonington Pride and everyone else have been working SO HARD on it!

There's also going to be the now-annual Pre-Pride Park Parade, which is so fabulous I can't even contain myself!

Thank you to everyone who donated at our meeting on Monday evening. Our friends at Empire Fisheries are continuing the effort by serving as a collection center for donations during the month of June. See below for more information.

Our hearts are with the families affected by the Ledges Apartments fire. We believe in neighbors helping neighbors, and to make it easier for people to contribute, our office will serve as a collection center during the month of June.

Families are in need of gift cards for food and household supplies, cleaning products, food donations, personal hygiene products for men and women, and financial assistance.

Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at:

Pawcatuck, CT

We are located in the HTP building, across from the high school and next to the police station. Please enter through the atrium facing South Broad Street. Suite 103 is the first office on the left.

Checks may be made payable to Groton Human Services. Please write “Fire Victims” in the memo line.

We will be collecting donations through the month of June and will deliver them to Groton Human Services on Tuesday through July 7.

A great night for the 43rd! Delegates from Stonington, North Stonington, and Ledyard came together to endorse Bill Heughins for State Representative.

Bill is a teacher and coach who has spent decades helping young people learn, lead, and succeed. He puts our community first every day.

We are excited to help send him to Hartford, where he’ll fight to make life better and our community stronger.

Great day at the Democratic State Convention!

Thank you to our Stonington delegates for representing our town in Hartford. We were proud to be there as Connecticut Democrats endorsed Gov. Ned Lamont, Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Attorney General William Tong, Treasurer Erick Russell, Comptroller Sean Scanlon, and Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas.

Rep. Greg Howard is being called out for using his office and media platforms to publicly target people in our community over honest mistakes and political disagreements.

“Folks have been reaching out to us over the last week, angry about Howard’s denial of any wrongdoing. They are afraid to criticize him, because they are also afraid of ending up in this paper and on the radio like others who have said or did something he didn’t like in the past.”

“It’s toxic behavior, and we demand it stop.”

People deserve better from their elected officials.

Many feel they cannot publicly criticize Howard, which is why they reached out to us.
