El Distrito Escolar Comunitario de Storm Lake está ayudando a mantener bien alimentados a los niños este verano a través del Programa de Servicio de Alimentos de Verano. El desayuno y el almuerzo estarán disponibles sin costo para todos los niños de 1 a 18 años, y no se requiere inscripción previa. 🍎

Las comidas del mes de junio deben consumirse en el lugar y se ofrecerán de lunes a jueves, del 1 al 25 de junio de 2026, en las siguientes ubicaciones:

Desayuno: 8:00 a 8:30 a. m.

Almuerzo: 11:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m.

A partir del 29 de junio y hasta el 16 de agosto de 2026, se ofrecerán desayunos y almuerzos para llevar (en bolsa) de lunes a jueves en estos sitios de distribución no congregada; las comidas pueden retirarse y consumirse fuera del lugar:

➡️ Lakeside City Hall, 203 Lakeshore Dr., Lakeside — 11:30 a 11:50 a. m.

Congratulations to Garbieno Weno on an incredible day at the State Track Meet! 🏅🔥 He earned a 3rd place finish in the 200m with a time of 21.89 and also placed 7th in the 100m in 10.94. Outstanding job competing among the best in the state! 👏

Let’s hear it for the Sprint Medley Relay team of Brandyn Azurdia, Sitah Chaiyawong, Garbieno Weno, and David William! 🏅 The team earned an 8th place finish in the 800m Sprint Medley Relay with a time of 1:33.04 — now ranked as the 24th fastest time in Iowa state history!

Congratulations to Trey Boettcher on qualifying for the 3A state golf tournament after shooting a 77 at the district meet in Orange City! ⛳️

The Storm Lake boys golf team narrowly missed qualifying for the state tournament by just one stroke, finishing 4th overall with a score of 316.

Additional scores for the Tornadoes included Carson Taylor (78), Chase Mathistad (80), Jayden Butler (81), Cam Boyd (82), and Bobby Boeckman (86).

Trey will compete at the 3A State Tournament next week at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo.
