This year, during Police Week held at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC, one of our own, Sgt. Daniel P. Didato, was honored and his name forever etched in stone after he made the ultimate sacrifice.

Gone, but never forgotten.

As we approach the end of the school year, the East Fishkill PBA is excited to announce our annual memorial scholarship opportunities. Our members are committed to giving back to this amazing community, while continuing to honor the legacy of Sgt. Daniel P. Didato and Paul “PJ” Gaston. May they never be forgotten.

The Sgt. Daniel P. Didato Memorial Scholarship will be open to any John Jay High School senior who intends to further their education by exploring a degree in the field of Criminal Justice.

The Paul “PJ” Gaston Memorial Scholarship will be open to any John Jay High School senior who intends to further their education by exploring a degree/certification in the trade/technical career field.

Please see the attached letters and inquire with the staff at John Jay High school for further instructions.

Stuff A Cruiser 2024 is a wrap. Thank you to everyone who came out and donated. Your generosity will ensure children all over Dutchess County get to experience the true meaning of Christmas.

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by yesterday and donated at our annual food drive. We are blown away by the continued support and generosity from the members of this community. In addition to the large amount of goods we were able collect for the Saint Vincent DePaul Food Pantry at Saint Columba, we raised a substantial amount of money that will be used to help families in need during the upcoming holiday season.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Councilman Arco for not only showing up, but for donating an incredibly generous amount of goods that will certainly go to good use.

Lastly, we would like to thank ACME Supermarket for allowing us to host our event at their store year after hearing.

We hope to see everyone at our upcoming Stuff a Cruiser event on December 7th, 2024, located at the East Fishkill Fire Department Headquarters.

The East Fishkill Police Department wants to remind everyone that Community Day is this Saturday, September 21st, 2024.

This is popular event and we want everyone to be prepared as the day gets closer. The parade will start at 2:00 pm and will stretch from Route 82 / P***n Road to Route 82 / Orchard Place. Route 82 and all roadways in between this area will be closed for the duration of the parade and no vehicles will be permitted to enter or exit any of the plazas, businesses, etc. Roadways coming into town and that connect to Route 82 will also experience delays, such as Route 376, Fishkill Road and P***n Road.

All motorists should expect heavy delays. We ask the community to help share this information so everyone can be well informed and plan ahead. If possible, please seek an alternate route if you plan on traveling through the area.
