Thank you to the 👨‍🚒volunteer firefighters👨‍🚒 who work full-time jobs and still answer the calls from those in need!

Thank you to the 👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏾first responder families👫🏼 that support our firefighters when the tones drop and they stop what they are doing to help people who may be having the worst day of their lives.

Thank you to the unpaid workforce that supports and responds to our residents and visitors who turn to 🚨 911 🚨 for help.

Extreme heat through Labor Day weekend. Make sure to stay cool and hydrated, and know the symptoms of Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke!

The extreme heat will continue today with heat indices over 100 degrees. Those sensitive to the heat will need to take the proper precautions.

Scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening. While not all areas will see storms, the stronger storms will produce frequent lightning and wind gusts to 60 mph. Remain weather aware if outdoors today.

Hot conditions are expected to continue this week. After the scattered rain chances today, the next chance for rain arrives Thursday along with lower temperatures.

Ok, just to make sure we are all in agreement - it’s HOT and it’s DRY!! Stay indoors and out of this nonsense if you can.

If you’re like us - you can’t. Please be careful with any outdoor activities. Drink plenty of water and take breaks.

This heat is hard on home electrical systems, it’s hard on vehicles, it’s hard on people, and it’s also incredibly easy to start a grass fire. Listen to Smokey.

Several of our firefighters were able to complete a walk through of Stoutland R-II School District courtesy of Deputy Greer with Camden County MO Sheriff's Office today! For the firefighters who were working and unable to attend, we also took video of the walk through for training purposes.

These walk throughs are crucial in our preplanning and response to any emergencies at the school.

Partnerships and training like this one are key to quick response and cooperation when it comes to serving our community!
