Stover Lions Club A page dedicated to the Lions Club of Stover, MO; a group dedicated to the community of Stover, MO. Follow us to keep up with what we are doing in town!

Lions clubs are comprised of individuals who have joined together to make their community a better place in which to live and work. These selfless volunteers, essential members of the world’s greatest service organization, give freely of their time and resources to help others. Helen Keller, in an address to the Lions Clubs International Convention in 1925, challenged the Lions to become “Knights

of the Blind” in eliminating preventable blindness. Since accepting that challenge, Lions around the world have undertaken a myriad of projects to cope with vision issues and blindness. These projects begin close to home with providing eyeglasses to those in need; expand across Missouri and the United States with support of our Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation and other organizations; and even overseas in projects to eliminate diseases that can cause blindness, just to name a few. However, Lions’ efforts also go well beyond a single focus. Depending on the needs of their local communities, Lions clubs sponsor activities supporting youth programs, provide park facilities, provide college scholarships, and conduct a host of other activities reflecting our motto, “We Serve.”. Through the great level of service that District 26-M7 Lions provide to their communities, they have truly earned the designation of “The Heart of Missouri Lions.”
