Thank you to Magistrate Joseph Mittica for volunteering to be a part of a panel discussion held yesterday at the Akron Bar Association for new Summit Legal Defenders Interns.

Magistrate Mittica, along with Stow Municipal Court Judge Amber Zibritosky, Ohio Ninth District Court of Appeals Judge Betty Sutton and Summit County Court of Common Pleas Judge Tammy O'Brien, helped answer questions that the Interns had as they begin their summer internship.

This week, Clerk Nicole Kowalski attended the Ohio Association of Municipal/County Court Clerks 2026 Spring Conference. One of the presentations was on the Safe at Home program through the Ohio Secretary of State’s office. The Safe at Home program helps protect individuals who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, r**e, sexual battery, or stalking by keeping their address confidential.
