Sunday, March 1st, the Strasburg Fire Department will be conducting live fire training at a house on Zeltman Ave. Zeltman will be closed from Wooster Ave at the Sunoco to 12th Street; local traffic for residents up to the scene from Wooster Ave will be maintained. There will be multiple fire apparatus and personnel from multiple departments in the area for the training. Please avoid the area as we will have trucks set up on the roadway. You may see and smell smoke in the area, as this is a live fire training in an acquired structure. Our dispatch center will be notified of the training Sunday morning. Our regular duty crew will be available to respond to emergencies in the village and township during the time we are conducting this training.

🚒Grant Award Announcement 🚒

The Strasburg Fire Department has been awarded $10,000 from the 2025 VFA ODNR grant. This is a 50% matching grant that will be used to purchase wildland firefighting gear for our firefighters for brush fires. This gear is less expensive that our structural firefighting gear, as well as lighter, so it doesn’t expose our firefighters to heat stress. Thank you ODNR!
