We still anticipate paving this Fall. 2) The new traffic signal post base has been installed and the temporary signal has been moved to it. The Tree Committee met but did not have a consensus on a recommendation for the planting pockets. The Public Works Department recommends small bushes, and/or perennials (with the possibility of adding a dwarf tree in the future) due to the overhead utility lines and to allow better visibility of the businesses. The Borough Manager will talk to the business owners in the Square. 3) The Authority awarded the Eshelman Run project to Kinsley Construction with construction to begin around October 1, 2026. The Pump Station 2 project will begin in early September and a section of North Jackson Street will be restricted to one lane during the bypass pumping. 4) The Authority is beginning to plan for future improvements to North Jackson Street. 5) The petition to rezone 1 Prospect Road will be held on September 8, 2026. 6) Congratulated the Police Department for another great National Night Out. 7) He continues to monitor assessment appeals. 8 ) We received $133,733.34 of interest so far in 2026.
