The Strasburg Fire Protection District is proud to continue the Hometown Days Fireworks Show tradition, but we need your help to make it happen!

Our goal is to raise $12,000 to provide a safe, memorable, and spectacular fireworks show for our community in 2026. Every donation—large or small—helps bring friends, families, and neighbors together for a night to remember.

💦 Foam Day was a blast! 💦

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Crew with Strasburg Fire and our community for coming out and making Foam Day such a fun and memorable event. Seeing so many smiling faces, families, and kids enjoying the day made it all worthwhile!

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Strasburg Parks and Recreation for partnering with us and helping make this event a success. Your support and dedication to our community are greatly appreciated.

We are proud to serve such a wonderful community and look forward to seeing everyone at future events!

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM MDT WEDNESDAY

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon to 8 PM MDT Wednesday.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now... .or will shortly. A combination of strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Any questions concerning the Red Flag Warning or controlled burns call the on duty crew at 303-622-4444 extension 2.

Deepest condolences to the friends, family and loved ones of Lt. Tellinger. Please join us in keeping the North Metro Fire Rescue District family in your thoughts.

It is with great sadness that North Metro Fire Rescue District announces the off-duty death of Lieutenant Chad Tellinger due to illness. Chad was hired by North Metro in 1998 and proudly served the community and organization for more than 27 years. He was 52 years old.

Chad was a highly respected firefighter, mentor, IAFF Local 2203 leader, and beloved family man whose loss is deeply felt across the North Metro family. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, two sisters, and his mother.

The District is working closely with Chad’s family to coordinate services and support. With the family’s permission, additional information will be shared in the coming days.

Strasburg Fire is currently experiencing technical difficulties with the phone system. If you have an emergency dial 911.

If you’re looking for a burn permit or have other questions, feel free to come to the firehouse in person on Monday and ring the doorbell to speak to the on duty crew.

The District office is closed and will reopen on Tuesday May 12th @ 9am
