“Improving Outcomes, Together
Every EMS clinician carries one call with them forever, not for its heroism but for its humanity. A child whose breathing finally stabilized, a grandmother whose hand was held until her family reached her side, or a stranger who, despite fear and pain in their eyes, chose to trust them.
These moments seldom make headlines, yet they influence outcomes and change lives. These outcomes go beyond just vital signs. They include people returning home, families remaining united and communities feeling safer because someone was there when it mattered most.
Today’s EMS clinicians bring advanced skills and innovative tools to these moments: evolving models of care that serve patients in big cities, tribal lands, rural plains and everywhere in between: prehospital ultrasound, early stroke recognition, and whole blood transfusion. These advancements are creating a measurable difference well before the patient reaches the hospital.
Improving Outcomes, Together extends beyond medicine. It’s a collective responsibility that involves investing in the people behind the care with fair pay, safe staffing levels, mental health resources, leadership that listens and acts, and opportunities for professional growth.
This week, we recognize the people behind the patch and reaffirm our commitment, as partners and communities, to Improving Outcomes, Together”

Happy Mother’s Day to the incredible moms of our EMS family. Today we honor the women who answer the call, serve our community with compassion and strength, and still give their all to their families at home.

Your sacrifices, dedication, and courage do not go unnoticed. Thank you for the long hours, missed holidays, sleepless nights, and unwavering commitment to keeping our community safe.

We are proud to serve beside you and grateful for everything you do, both in uniform and at home. Wishing all of our EMS mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Public Service Announcement 🚨

If you need an ambulance or emergency assistance, please call 911.

While many community members have personal cell phone numbers for first responders, calling them directly can cause delays.
When you call 911, dispatch immediately alerts the right personnel and ensures help is sent as quickly as possible.

📞 In any emergency, call 911 — don’t call a cell phone.

Be advised: Sherman county is included in this PSPS- public safety power shutoff.

01/07/2026

The Texas Panhandles to include Sherman County will be experiencing our first winter weather system late on Thursday lasting through much of Friday. Preliminary probabilities are showing 1 to 5 inches.

Be prepared for hazardous travel conditions and slick roadways. In addition, gusty winds can further intensify conditions caused by the snowfall and reduce visibility . Use caution if you must travel during this upcoming winter storm as road conditions can change quickly.
