This morning, April 20, 2026, full time police officer, Sydney Nussbaum, was promoted to the rank of Chief of Police. Chief Nussbaum was sworn in by Interim Village Clerk June Krueger, who also swore her in when she was first hired as an officer back in August 2017. For the past 8 years Chief Nussbaum has served the Village of Stratford with dedication and professionalism, while taking great pride in the connections and relationship she has formed with the community, the schools, and local businesses. Chief Nussbaum looks forward to continuing to build on those connections and relationships to ensure the Village of Stratford is a safe and prosperous community.

Chief Nussbaum is also the first female Chief of Police for the Village of Stratford.

🏷️ Door to Door Sales 🏷️

Tomorrow, March 2nd, there will be 2 men going door to door selling meat products (beef, pork, chicken, fish). These men have received a sellers permit with the village and are allowed to conduct their business. They will be driving a silver Nissan Navigator.

This morning the newest member of the Stratford Police Department was sworn in. Please help us welcome Officer Tony Her. Officer Her will be employed with us as a part time officer. Officer Her has worked security for NorthCentral Technical College in Wausau since 2019, while also being employed by the Wisconsin State Fair Police for the past 5 years.
