Strathmere Fishing and Environmental Club - SFEC Fishing and Environmental club Welcome to the Strathmere Fishing and Environmental Club. The Club is made up of terrific men and women.

We are an organization of approximately 180 people with a common interest in fishing, boating, the artificial reef program and education concerning environmental issues such as clean water and beaches and fish conservation. Based in South Jersey, SFEC sponsors many social events including several fishing tournaments, a boat parade, barbecues, and summer and winter socials. We also sponsor several

shore-related events for children, and are involved in local community service. Friendships and camaraderie are what make SFEC special.

Ahoy, kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and all future wave riders!

Have you ever wanted to surf as a pirate, paddle out as a superhero, or ride a wave dressed as a shark? Now's your chance! SFEC Surfmare in Strathmere 2026 Kids Costume Surf Contest is splashing onto the Sumner Ave beach on August 29, and we're looking for the most creative, courageous, and costume-clad surfers around.

Whether you're a first-time boogie boarder or a seasoned wave warrior, there will be surfing, costumes, prizes, t-shirts, hot dogs, drinks, and plenty of laughs. Bring your board, your imagination, and your biggest beach smile. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to cheer loudly and embarrass themselves appropriately.

The waves are waiting... and they love a good costume! 🌊🎭🏄‍♀️
