Mark your calendar, Saturday March, 4 from 11:00 A.M. until 7 :00 P.M. we will be having a Foot Long Hotdog and Sloppy Joe luncheon. The same Foot Longs you and your family come to the fair for. This is a nice fundraiser for us and should be a nice way to kick off spring.

Let's stop and take a minute to pray for our law enforcement officers. They protect us and then they give their lives for us everyday. Let's change 2017 to make it a better year for our law enforcement.

Most of us remember where and what we were doing 15 years ago on this horrible day. We loved, cried and tried to honor the ones we lost as best as we could. We are still today trying to live up to them and make them proud. There is not a day that we don't remember something from that day. The children that was effected because of loved ones that will not come back or the men and women that will not be able to tell their stories to the younger generation. We should all take a moment to tell a loved one, friend or just a stranger how much we appreciate them. We stand for the flag of the United States of America and will fight for it as long as possible. We won't be defeated by anyone.

All I can say about the people that govern fire departments is that they should be on the department responding to the runs instead of sitting in a/c or where ever they maybe and see what goes on. Especially when people want to be volunteers and they tell them NO. This is a time when we need volunteers and they are getting turned down left and right. Everyone needs to wake up!!!!!!!!!!
