TCLFL got some maintenance over the weekend. Fresh paint, a new door and some new acrylic. While the library did great over the winter and subsequent stormy ⛈ summer some maintenance was needed. She now stands proudly and we hope you will stop by to check it out.

We also turned over the library contents and added some new stuff. We hope everyone’s school year is starting off well and will confess we are looking forward to some cooler temps. Cheers!

We did a refresh on the library this afternoon. Some of the books include: The Madness of July (for obvious reasons) Verity, The Hunger Games & Catching Fire, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Circe, Bad Dogs Have More Fun, The Gift of Fear, Deep Freeze and Hot Blooded by Lisa Jackson, amongst some other delightful reads. Maybe you will find your next great summer read.

Thank you for the new donations. We have had several come in since the last refresh we had done. We appreciate all our neighbors who donate and stop by.

We have not posted in awhile but wanted to extend our gratitude for the recent donations. We have had cook books, childrens books and even a game come in!! Thank you!

Also we felt like we designed the little free library on a wing and a prayer but are happy to report it is still standing after we were struck with a micro burst or maybe a little F1 tornado this evening. All the goods are dry, no bottle cap shingles were lost. Even though houses around us lost some as seen on the sidewalk. We are a couple of hours into cleanup and who knows when we will have power… but we wanted to share the gratitude we feel. Here’s to reading by flashlight!

This month’s featured books include 4 on the banned book list. The Little Prince, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Hunger Games and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. In case there was ever a question on where we stand when it comes to reading banned books….we hope you read them all. We hope you sit with the discomfort that some of them may bring about in you and become a more kind and discerning human being because of it. -TCLFL105095
