Today...employees of Bruce Township dropped off a total of 161 gift bags to 2 local nursing homes!

Thank you to everyone within our community who donated cash and an assortment of Blankets, Coloring/Crossword Books, Colored Pencils, Body Washes, Candies, Cookies & Other Snacks!

DONATION ITEMS ARE NEEDED BY MONDAY DECEMBER 15TH!!

This year the Bruce Township Assessor's Office will be collecting donation items for the following:
Parker Nursing Home & Rehabilitation
ARC At Streator (Formerly Heritage Manor)
Safe Journeys Womens Shelter

We would like to create a gift bag to open for each of 160 nursing home residents and would appreciate donations of the following items:

*Blankets
*Non-Slip Gripper Cozy Socks (Unisex)
*Word Search Books
*Lip Balms
*Individually Wrapped - Candies & Snacks
*Throw Blankets (Unisex)

We would like to drop off a bulk of miscellaneous items for Safe Journeys Shelter and would appreciate donations of those. Please see the attached picture for suggestions.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, we are more than happy to do the shopping for you!!

Donations will be accepted in our offices at 216 N. Sterling St (open Mon-Fri 8am - Noon) until Monday, December 15th.

These specific residents of our community are very near & dear to our hearts! We'd love to make this collection a success again this year!! Please help if you're able to and feel free to share this post!

A very special THANK YOU goes out to the QuarterMania team for their donations from their Christmas For Seniors Fundraiser. This morning, Lori Mahan, Marla Merritt & Andy Hoekstra presented our Township team with a check for $510.50 to purchase miscellaneous gift items for the Senior Citizen residents at both Parker Rehab & The ARC for Christmas! They have also donated boxes upon boxes of many different items from the Seniors wishlists! This fundraiser collection would not be as successful without the help from community groups such as yourselves!! Thanks again!!

Over the summer months, the Assessor's office employees will be out and about updating the property record information for parcels in the township. We work from 8am to 1pm doing this. This includes taking photos and verifying measurements of structures. Everyone from my office will have an ID on them and our vehicle is identified by a magnetic sign. If you have any questions about our visit to your property, call the office at 815-673-2215, leave us a message and we will return your call.
