📢 VILLAGE OF STRONGHURST – 2027 CONSOLIDATED ELECTION NOTICE

The Village of Stronghurst will have candidate petitions for the April 2027 Consolidated Election that can be picked up starting August 25, 2026.

🗓 Filing Period:
November 16, 2026 through November 23, 2026

🗳 Offices to be Elected:
Three (3) Village Trustee Seats

The Consolidated Election will be held on April 6, 2027.

Anyone interested in running for Village Trustee may contact the Village Office with questions regarding filing or candidate paperwork.

Due to rain and wet conditions at the fairgrounds, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s concert.

We know many of you were planning to travel to Stronghurst tonight for a big night of music with us, so we wanted to share this decision as early as possible to give you time to adjust your plans. We deeply appreciate your support and are just as disappointed by this outcome as you are. We also want to thank everyone involved for their tireless efforts to make the event possible.

If you purchased your ticket online, you will receive a refund automatically—there is nothing you need to do. Refunds will be credited to the card used for the original purchase within 7–10 business days. If you bought your ticket locally (at the fair office or Country Financial), you can visit the fair office today (12 PM – 5 PM) or tomorrow (Sunday, Aug 2, from 8 AM – 12 PM) to receive a full refund.

All vehicles parked along all of Broadway St. and all of Main St. will need to be moved by 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 28th so those roads can be oiled and chipped. Thanks!

Help send our West Central High School Softball team off to super sectionals today! They will leave from the high school in biggsville at 1:00 p.m and head by the gas station in biggsville! Come help cheer them on!

Congratulations to our West Central Girls High School Softball team! In order for the community and board members to show their support at their next game, The village board meeting has been moved to Tuesday June 2nd at 6:00 p.m.

LRS did not get all the way through town today for city wide clean up. They will continue tomorrow, please be patient.
